Description
The dataset includes the results of studies of the Coleoptera fauna of the southwest of Primorsky Krai (Russian Far East). The data are based on the collections of the author during 2015–2022 at numerous locations. In addition, information about collection materials collected in other years or received from other collectors and literary data are used.
Data Records
The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 6,800 records.
This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Sampling Methods
When studying the Coleoptera, all available methods of their collection were used: manual collection, collection with an exhauster, soil traps, shaking off the crowns of trees and shrubs, light of electric lamps, trampling vegetation in damp and boggy biotopes, sifting the litter using entomological sieves, mowing on grassy vegetation using an entomological net and others.
Study Extent | The data are based on materials collected by us during an 8-year study of ground beetles in the southwestern part of Primorye. During the period of the most intensive study of the fauna in 2019-2022. route and stationary studies covered the vast territory of the Land of the leopard National park and the Kedrovaya Pad Nature Reserve. In addition to their own collections, the available materials from this territory, collected by other researchers, were studied. |
