Description

The dataset includes 2149 occurrences of 18362 specimens from 736 points of European Russia. Occurrences belong to five species of Blattodea and four species of Dermaptera. We surveyed a wide range of habitats of the Continental biogeographic region: broadleaved deciduous forests, mixed and coniferous forests, edges of forests, bogs, swamps and sedgebeds, steppes, meadows, fields, gardens, urban green sites, indoor habitats. Insects were sampled by diverse methods: pitfall traps, window traps, pan traps, Malaise traps, beer traps, sweepnet, UV light, litter samples, and hand collection. A bulk of specimens was collected by authors during 2003-2024. For 1810 occurrences (rows of the dataset) and 16326 specimens we note stage (adult or nymph) and sex (male or female, for adults only). For some plots there are data on seasonal or year-to-year dynamics, so this data is useful for knowledge of life cycles of insects.

Data Records

The data in this occurrence resource has been published as a Darwin Core Archive (DwC-A), which is a standardized format for sharing biodiversity data as a set of one or more data tables. The core data table contains 2,149 records.

This IPT archives the data and thus serves as the data repository. The data and resource metadata are available for download in the downloads section. The versions table lists other versions of the resource that have been made publicly available and allows tracking changes made to the resource over time.

Geographic Coverage
